The Poco C31 has a plastic build that measures 164.9 x 77.1 x 9mm and weighs 194g. It’s available in Royal Blue and Shadow Gray colors. The 6.53 inch LCD screen has a 720×1600 resolution with an 81% screen-to-body ratio. The display is ideal for basic use but don’t expect vibrant colors or high brightness levels.

Performance and Hardware
Powering the C31 is a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This provides adequate performance for daily tasks but intensive apps may stutter. Storage can be expanded via the microSD slot. A 5,000mAh battery keeps it running all day with 10W charging.

Cameras
The rear camera setup includes a 13MP main, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. It’s capable enough in good lighting but low light shots are poor. Selfies are handled by a 5MP front camera. Video recording maxes out at 1080p30fps.

Connectivity and Features
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio and GPS/AGPS. Sensors include a rear fingerprint scanner. The 3.5mm headphone jack and microUSB port are handy inclusions.

Pricing and Availability
Currently retailing around 200,000 Naira, the Poco C31 achieves its goal of super affordable pricing very well. Some low-level performance complaints have surfaced but for basic use, it provides good value on a tight budget. As an entry-level phone, it delivers well considering the very low asking price.
